1968 Coronet R/T, 440 4spd w/Dana rearend B5 Blue with Black interior. I traded a 53 Ford pickup with a chevy 6 cylinder in it for that car after my cousin had drove the Dodge till he fouled the plugs from doggin it around as a family car. Me and my dad tuned it up and gave it a fresh paint job.
I still wish I had it back.

Graduated High School in 2003. Drove my '68 Mustang for three years of it. That was 9 years ago, which is not too long ago, but the car is still (and forever will be) mine.

Graduated in 57. First car, in my senior year, was a 46 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible. Around 5000 pounds and Zero to Sixty in about a half an hour. Got $20 trade in for it towards a 52 Pontiac 4 dr. Worth about $50K to $75K today in the shape I traded it. Pontiac wasn't too exciting but the car of choice when a half dozen guys wanted to drive around all night drinking.

Dad bought this in 1963. I came home from the hospital in 1964 in it, along with my sister in 1965. At some point Dad got hooked on Mopars (Thanks Richard Petty) and it sat in the yard until I was old enough to drive it. Folks used to stop and want to buy it but Mom would never let him sell it because she knew I wanted it when I got older. Once I got my license I drove it from NJ to Ga and my Uncle painted it red with a white top. It was yellow with chrome reverse rims on it when it was sitting. It was a joy to drive it back and forth from school (Pemberton Twp HS) in Pemberton NJ school in 1982 to home trust me. I also used it when I got married in 1985 and both of my daughters came home from the hospital in it. It was even my daily driver for a while in 1985 until I could purchase another car for my wife. It's still safe and sound in the family and will never be sold. Dad keeps it at his house in SC and takes it to car shows as often as he cans. Every time I go down to see my parents the first thing I do is take it for a ride. It's a show winner now and he loves to bring home the trophies. My two daughters don't really get it but hoping one day one of them will realize the importance of keeping it in the family forever.

I still have the car that I drove to high school my senior year (1979) but it's not "Hamb friendly". Its a Meyers Manx that my father built it in 1967. I also had a 67 camaro RS.

A guy named Roger French, He had the fastest, he had a 1978 Vette L82 4-speed, and had spent money on it.... one night late you could hear a car loosing traction, tires squealing, switching to second same thing, but you could see the car just small head lights, a high rev, and tires squealing in third, the cars almost beside us on the two lane highway, you can see the red vette as it passes by and he get fourth gear scratch and it's gone.......I seen him race a charger with a 440 4 speed and whip it bad.......he could drive and it was a fast car.....

I don't know if you would call it cool but it was a 49 Dodge 4 door. It had been wrecked in the front and my Dad got it for free and put another front end on it and gave it to me. Meant as much to me as somebody getting a new vette. Simpler times for sure....

1962 I drove a 31 full fendered pickup, stock 4 banger, flat blue, blue and white interior. Like an idiot sold it in 64 for $400. Have spent the last 4 years and about $25,000 duplicating same truck, except with a few more goodies like a merc engine, etc.

I've noticed that the body has gotten smaller over the years. In high school 3 people could fit in the cab, now 2 at best.
