;)For anyone new to the thread, we're 'rodders & customizers here -- part of the "hoodlums worldwide" contingent.:D We're not just people who like vintage pix of cars, trucks, trains, roadbuilding, Christmas mornings, etc. Pretty ladies are part of the vintage mix too, and Norma Jean seems to be the consensus favorite on this thread. Loosen up and have a sense of humor, please.

These guys are certifiable. Not just one but two nice top-heavy lathes being moved.

  18. Too weird, my family had both these cars.

Very seldom do I have anything worthy of posting on this thread, but it brightens my morning every day.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Doc, I like your taste in movies, mate!;) 'The Commitments" has a lot of the ironic appeal of "The Full Monty." An aspiring music promoter who's missed the temporal train forms a retro jazz/soul band comprising nothing but white working class Dubliners! :D You just KNEW this was gonna be hilarious (Quote: "I'm black, and I'm proud!"). The album was a smash on the Australian, NZ & UK charts, thanks to the VINTAGE works of the likes of Sam Cooke, Al Green, Joe Tex, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Aretha, Ashford & Simpson, Steve Cropper, Martha & the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, Laverne Baker, Mack Rice and many others.:)

There's a reason the movie score several awards, spawned a followup album and, as well, even scores an amazing 87 percent approval rating on the picky "Rotten Tomatoes" site. IMO, what "American Graffiti" was to hotrodding:cool:, "The Commitments" was to vintage Soul, Jazz and R&B!

No sweat, IndyBigJohn! :) Encouraging words now and then from folks like you are why so many of us search 8, 10 or more hours a day to find material others may (or not, for that matter) find entertaining or informative, filling out the historical backdrop of the trad car/truck scene that the HAMB is all about. ;)Drop in any time!

  27. This is a photo of a woman who spent a year of hell coordinating her daughters wedding - and it's finally over.

  28. Ah, Depoe Bay! as an ex Oregonian I enjoy seeing those! A GREAT town, check it out in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest!
Watching boats navigate that super narrow channel was great fun.
