I'm real close to Cleveland, Ohio. Beaver Springs is the farthest I've towed so far with my old truck.

Well once again I've wandered off my path:confused:, Looking at the Comp Coupes on here I decided to mount a glass 37 fiat body on the dragster, my plan is to weld mounting tabs on the back of the rollcage and shouldebar to attach the rear body hangers , or where the body would hinge, that way i could take it off and run it still as a dragster, I still have to match up the tin work on the fiat body to my dragster body, so far it's pretty close , had to remove the rear tin work to match to the dragster cage, plus have to make inserts for the tires, and a boxed in area on the firewall to clear the pitman arm so I can lift the body and not hang up on the arm, Hell if I had the money to buy the rearend and brake parts I wouldn't be doing this crazy s**t:eek:. O Well it keeps me busy:D Tim Jones

Damn Tim, I'm REALLY liking that! Add a little nitro, and old timers will be thinking 'Jazzy Nelson'!

Thanks again for all of the information, and names, in regards to nitro tuners!

    Tim,
Been following your build for a while now and have recently joined the HAMB so thought I'd pitch in here, looks like a great project and I love it even more now you've put a Fiat body on it, looks a bit like mine.
Good luck with getting the body mounted it'll look killer when it's done.

    Thanks Tim,
I really like those old Chassis Reasearch style frames and the fact that the cowl is nice and short on your Fiat body, couldn't afford a shortie glide so the cowl length was pretty much set on mine.
Heres a couple more pics, don't want to encroach on your thread too much.
I haven't hinged my body or put any tubs in it, just eight mounting points, two off the back and two down either side and two at the front then I cut the firewall to fit with a 1/4" gap around the cowl section on the dragster, got some rubber fuel line and sliced it down the middle and glued it to the bottom edge of the firewall to take up the gap.
Nice and rigid and works a treat. Takes about 15 mins to take it off, then I can run it as a slingshot if I want.
I've been collecting and trading parts and using what I already had for this build for the last five years 125" wheelbase mild steel frame thats tagged to 8.50. It all finally came together in the last five months I've now got everything I need to build a blown small block, don't plan on going too fast just want to smoke the tires 'til the 1/8 th:D
Reading your build thread along with Rockys Evil Twin and Roseville Carl have all been an inspiration to me during that time and encouraged me to keep at it.
Thanks for taking the time to share your builds.

    Ray
