Vintage shots from days gone by!

Manhatten 1942

 

Check out these photos of an auto assembly shop, in the City of Vancouver in the early 1900's. Nice lift, OSHA approved?. Cars came in a boxcar, partially assembled.

 

I also found these race event photos in the City of Vancouver Archives, that would correspond to the ads, I found elsewhere. The racetrack with the grandstands, is still there, its the local thoroughbred horse track. Plus I added some auto-polo and some other random shots all from the same archives.

 

Great shots and race ads 29 bowtie, I have very similar ones from the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto and not a clue how to post them.
