Well guys I never thought I would be having to sell my son's collection and other items or mine. He was the one that had to deal with mine but it didn't work like that. At age 42 + 9 days a heart attack took him from us. Every thing he owned was here and he lived back home and in my dads place from 07.

I have spent the last 9 months finishing his custom Harley that he started on in 01. It has helped a lot. I think I can post a link to the photo bucket site showing it along with the write up but want you to tell me it is OK to do so. I don't want to get in trouble from the start for sure.

I have a lot of motorcycle parts for sell. He did own a shop in Ga from 01 till 02 so what is left is here. New old stock. I also have car parts and cars + trucks + parts and not counting all the tools we used in the telco and CATV trade that made us a living for many years but this forum would not be the place to post those items I would think?

Now to just make sure I follow the rules for posting and I should be good to go I hope?

    Thanks

    Duke

Duke, sorry to hear what you're dealing with.

Cars/trucks/parts can be advertised here, but you want to try to keep with the "1965 or older" theme. The Jalopy Journal has a sister site called the Jockey Journal http://www.jockeyjournal.com/ that would be a good place to advertise the Harley parts.

You can post links to PB here.

Thanks to you and e-tech for the info.

I guess the 70 RR in need of restro would go the the other forum?

I also have a web site where I am uploading all the stuff I have for sell but have not done any thing with shipping cost yet. Its a web site that my web guy through up quick and looks almost like a Cragislist one but no one can find it unless they have the correct www address. It is used for me to start listing stuff and then I can use the link when posting other on other sites. Most forums have no problem with it but one did and baned me and it was listed right under my powder coating business but they never even answered a question I had and needed to know when I was trying to finish my sons bike so no loss to me I guess.

Win 99 and loose 1 and that is life I guess. I will look at the other sites and see what and how to post items. I think it ok if a guy PM's me then I can PM him back with my Link and that would be no problem.

Here is the link to my finish build of my sons bike and I think it is ok to post but if not delete it or contact me and I will do it. The other forum did not and just shoved it to me and that is not right in my book.:(

    Here is the bike

Very sorry for your loss. I am glad to hear that the bike build helped. I lost my uncle and working on his car has helped me feel a lot better. It's like one last build between us. Good luck and glad you are here.

Life is not aways fair in the living ones eyes for sure and will never be so we just have to cope with it the best we know how.

It will take me a year or two to even go through all the thing he had and I don't need now with him gone.

At least it keeps me busy along with my powder coating business so it helps but every move I make he is there. He had most of my 2000 sq ft shop loaded with tools + an upper deck full along with one bay in my new 4 car garage that he and I finished and then that does not even count the Mobile home that was my dads and it also full of smaller items to the toon of well over 500++ that he had collected over the years.

Sorry for the loss of your son. I know your pain, having lost a daughter in '80.

You'll find a lot of friendly folks here. Good luck as you work through your task and your grief. God bless.

Hi Duke, and kyvetteman and prnvleacres,
I am so sorry for you guys losses.
My wife and I lost our 16 year old son back in March 2011 and our lives changed for the worse forever.
I still struggle some days, and my wife is just lost.
This place has been a blessing for me - it has provided a useful distraction - providing something that I love to help me survive losing someone that I loved.
As for motorbike parts here - this is a hot rod and custom site, so this isn't going to be the place for that, but good luck with your tough task anyway.
    Cheers.

    Thanks man.

Oh I have the car parts also but just have to get them all laid out and then up for sell. I have an almost complete disassembled 62 Starfire Olds + other parts. I have org fender skirts and think I have marked some as to what they fit. When my son took all the cars off to the scrap yard I had forgot about them and should of done some fit checking before they left:mad:
