This post from earlier looks to be before the start of the very first race of the Intl Race of Champions, in 1973 into 1974.
L to R; A.J. Foyt, Roger McCluskey, Bobby Allison, Denny Hulme, Emerson Fittipaldi, Gordon Johncock, Richard Petty, Peter Revson, George Follmer, David Pearson, Mark Donohue and Bobby Unser.
It was a great concept in the beginning.

No lifts or air tools.. They did all the wrenching and jacking by hand. This pic must have been taken at 7:00 am, no dirt on their overalls.

 

I've seen a lot of caribou, but none like that! Like Jimi's jackalope, I think it must be a made up spoof, with moose body and elk antlers. Maybe there was a Moose Lodge and and Elks Club in one building at that location?

 

Including at Roswell, NM where almost anything could have happened - Jimi, thanks for nailing this one!

 

Searching the net, I found a few with this front end, they were 55-57 and had the same grille and single headlights
