It's 11" deep. I need to take a picture of it done. Not really a box, it's just a three sided tray with an open top.
It's a one-off casting according to the guy who sold it to me. He made it for a roadster he was working on but decided not to use it. It looks like a Mopar but with more drop.
I like the length on your column drop and the column itself and the steering wheel and the shifter and the brake etc. etc. etcccccc..... Nice work...
Actually not all custom. The latching mechanism is from Mac's. It's in their catalog listed as '33 '34 latch kit and the hinge and pin are from them too listed as '32 3-window glove box hinge, could probably make that part if a guy wanted to. The face of the door is 16 gauge with a 9 gauge wire welded to the edge and ground smooth. The inner structure to recieve the hinge is 18 gauge bent over a buck with a 45 degree angle on the bottom side to accept the hinge. 10/24 nuts were welded inside to hold the hinge in place.....Glad you guys like it. It was just one of the many improvements to my coupe I'm making this winter. I'll try to share the next one.
