  1. We just kind of lay low and don't really stir it up too much.
I am thankful we are able to be part of this forum.
The fact this thread has over 1 million views kind of says
    something too.

I'd love to see pictures of the first hotrodded COE...was it TV Tommy Ivo, with his glass encased mid 60's car hauler?

I wish someone made 8 lug salt flat specials for the 1 ton...I'd run them on my COE

A few years ago I sold my original COE wheels to a guy in California. They were rusted out but he did not care. He was going to weld new outer barrels to the inside and run new 20" tires on the old centers...neat idea. Traditional wheel with new rubber.

Most of the big billet wheel companies will custom build what you want. You just have to ask.

I think Barris also built a C-series 58-60 Ford, can't find the photo yet, but it was a wild looking thing.

That's a great idea, I've been getting ready to do the same thing to a set of steel 80's Ford Metric wheels to run 15 inch tires on them.

For the vintage look I run the wheels from a rail line inspection truck on my 36 GMC, the offset made modern wide suspension fit the narrow body and the rims take a fairly common 19.5.
I think this type of wheel could be chromed nicely.

I like those wheels, just a little too tall. I might look in to re******** the stock centers I have.

Re-hooping the original centers sounds good. However, I've had no luck finding the new outer hoops, especially for modern tires. What's the tallest 19.5 made? Sometinhg to still have the same basic look and height of the 9.50 X 20 or a 10.00 x 20. If you know of a source, please post it.

    Aren't those the coolest?

I just sold mine before the snow came to a guy North of Edmonton, but I found another down the road from me, and coincidentally a buddy in town just got one for next to nothing and he already has it on the road!

The designations were FC150 and FC170 the FC meaning Forward Control.

What year Chevy chassis are you using for your 39 COE? Have you hooked your steering column up to the front end yet? Any pics of that?

    Okay, Okay. I Surrender!
    I'll buy a nice COE!
Just as soon as I win the lottery!:D
Some great stuff here and some really nice vehicles. WOW! I'm so jealous of some of you guys!

Here's a couple of a COE that I took about 4 years ago in Choteau, OK at a salvage yard. I'm not positive, but I believe that it's a 1952 Ford. But I could easily be wrong. That does happen from time to time. :)

Enjoy. I have more that I will be posting as soon as I can locate them. Which might be harder than I think.
