I live near there, pull em and run. No one cares till they think you like it. If you took it and the owners ran in to ya at the 7-11 they would not even care. Go get it or I will.

Its abandon , its not behind somebodys house . Like the bartender said , if you dont , he will . Lots of people on both sides of the fence with this one , bottom line is this . If somebody else finds it while your waiting , its a gone . You dont have to ask if somebody here thinks its right or not . The question is , If I personally came across it tomorrow while I was looking around would I take it . My vote is YES

  8. Go back and read this thread.....34 Masters have the insturments in front of the steering wheel, 34 standards have the insturments in the center of the dash...like my 34 standard dash.

Yup Rocky is correct. I put a 34 master dash in my 33 just to confuse people.

  10. I'd make the effort to fetch it out, then put any dash I'd like in it! That being said, Rocky, the dash in your 34 is killer!

Rocky, Where did you get that dash panel? Will it fit my 34 master?

Is this the end of the story? Will we ever know? Just tell us they're not there any more... I don't care who got 'em, just get 'em out of there!

We're waiting for the next decent rain before we get the car out. Desert arroyo sand that is dry is almost impossible to get traction in, even with a 4WD. Damp desert sand packs down nicely, so we will update as soon as we have it out.

Hmmm, decent rain out here in the desert....

...could be another few years before that happens. We either get nothing or a "turd floater"

make a sled from some plywood and 2x4s and drag it out to the road with a big quad or 2 big quads

  22. ...get a coupla junk car hoods, put it on them and slide it out.

  23. This would be a good time to figure out how the Egyptians built the pyramids. How did they move those big ol' stones on the desert sands? :D

As everybody knows today ... Aliens built the pyramids

Could be a connection to old car mutilations left in the desert...
Just look at the surgical removal of the engine and the other missing parts.

  25. Lmao! Good point. :D

  26. Winch with an extra cable might do it, too, if it's that hard to get traction it aught to slide fairly easily. The junk hood is a good idea, though, especially a rounded one, assuming you can jack it up to slide one under it.

Wow that is too awesome !
Being a desert find i bet if you dig it out you will find its all there, if not you can use the chassis from the sedan. By the way both are 34's and Standards to boot. I can tell by the deeper recessed firewalls and the rectangular cowl vents. I own two similar to these, Aussie versions with bodies made by Holden. Both were found in similar condition to these ones. All i can say i get a couple of trailers and start digging !

  28. They waited for rain.

  29. Just dig it up and take it. If someone cares they'll show up, with a gun?
