    The scoops look great

  2. Thanks for your interests guys.
After a lot of farting around i finally got the scoop to fit like the other side. Doing right and left of anything suck. Very time consuming. I'm actually ready to bodywork the skirts.
I look around the garage and man i'm a pig when i'm working. I just don't really notice the mess as i'm a little to focused on what i'm doing and not aware of the mess. Anyone else have that disease?

  12. Thanks for the heads up on those mirrors. They are the ticket. I just don't know where i'm going to get the scratch thou. I know i could get a good buck for mine as i've seen them go for over 3 hun used and mine are nos. So it would be a gamble. I've got a few days of pondering but will keep an eye on them.
    Thanks man.

  13. Did some bondo work this week and got some hi build on the skirts. Looks so much better. Just have to fine tune those scoops.

skirts look great! i liked them before but now in primer they really flow with the car. like most things hand made, definitely worth the extra work!

    Coming together good nice scoops.

  19. I need an opinion on driveshaft clearance. I'm using 3 in lowering blocks which is common i think but i thing my springs are sagged out. I don't wont to raise the car and i only had 1/2 in clearance. So cut the floor and going to make a short tunnel. I'm think i have enough clearance now but not 100 % sure. Anybody confirm from their build experiance?
I have 1 in at the front which is not far from the frt pivot of the shaft and a bit better than 2 at the frt seat hump which is level with the x member underneath.
    Good to go?

I don't have the answer but I'm grateful you're detailing and investigating this. I'll be doing the same soon!

I would imagine it would depend on your travel in the rear. I think you would need to have full movement without the driveline hitting anything.

  22. Well, like i said, i'm maxed out at the rear hump as the xmember is under there and can't go any higher without cutting it to. I was hoping someone has a measurement from their build. I 'm sure i'm ok at the frt as there is not much movement at that point. I really don't want to raise the rear as it looks natural right now with the skirts. 2 1/4 at the rear hump is enough i think considering it's about 1/2 way done the shaft and travel through the arch travel is not that much at that point compared to the end at the rear end.

I also don't have the answer.. But if no one chimes in.. I would error on caution and add a 1/4"- 1/2" just to be safe... ?

Hopefully someone chimes in as I ALSO will be doing this very soon.

I stepped the rear brace for clearance but I have bags in the rear. Put some weight in the trunk and see what kind of travel you have before it hits. You could also make some bump stops if your worried about it hitting and don't want to clearance the rear brace.

  25. Well i spent a few hours making a tunnel, nothing fancy. I went 1/2 higher than the x member. I think i'll be ok or i'll have to go up. Done deal.
