History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

Might want to go to the website "wediditforlove" Those guys are in the middle of finding and restoring old fed's. Maybe someone has heard something.

 

These are from a bunch of years ago, can't remember where I stlole them from, but it was for sale.-MIKE

Looks like the old "put the car on jack stands" trick just like the Flash Gordon shot on the cover of Drag Racing USA back in the day.

I would have to agree. If you look closely you can see what looks like a jack stand next to the rear wheel, just the metal edge of it.

 

Yup, you can see something under the car on the drivers side, rear slick with the mud wiped off "almost" all the way, front tire still has mud and drivers hand position.

 

This and the pictures above all from the Vintage Drag Club FaceBook page, no photographers credited or I would list their names...all the cars are in motion, all before the cutoff date, and hopefully not posted before (though I can't keep track!!!) Hope I didn't break any copyrights etc posting them!

 

I don't like to quote/repost pics if I can help it, but...WOW this pic speaks to me! awesome shot!
