I thought the 30's, 40's and 50's would be a very strong contender in this poll, still sooooo many MOPAR owning HAMB members have not voted yet i guess ?
'41 Two-door sedan and '73 Cuda 340, both small-block MOPAR powered. My Dad started building street rods using Plymouths in the 70's, I have a few pictures of the '32 convertible and '34 coupe he built, with small-block Chevy power, both with the resto rod look, which I still love. He told me that back in those days, the Mopars were cheaper and easier to get your hands on than the Fords, and since they look every bit as great, it was a no-brainer!
40's but lets be real. I am a die hard mopar guy and always will be. Don't matter the year. It can even be an 80's K car and its still ok. lol
1957 Plymouth Belvedere 4dr HT 1957 Chrysler Windsor (light custom) 2dr HT 1959 Dodge Coronet 2dr HT 1960 Chrysler NewYorker 4dr Sedan 1962 Chrysler NewYorker 4dr HT wagon 1964 Chrysler NewYorker 4dr HT 1965 Chrysler 300 convertible 1973 Dodge Dart (daily heap)
This poll is rigged ... notice the years follow the rules of the hamb 70s are not allowed, so you lose alot of 70s voters funny how it shows the 60s winning by a lot, Alot of awesome looking mopars from the 60's and most ive owned are from the 60's but theres no way 60's beats out 70's! or evn 50's! I think... 1) 70's ( and looks cudas, challenger, charger, demon...) 2) 50's (300's, Furys, desotos, early hemis and the 392!, sweptsides...) then 3) 60's ( 2nd gen barracuda's, 1st gen barracuda's, first gen chargers, darts development of 426..) 4)40's (cant think of any names of the top of my head but i think the style looks better than 30's or 20's 5) 30's or 20's dont really follow. they are cool but not my boat.
Low milage original 67 Coronet 500 and an even lower milage new Ram truck just purchased Monday with a HEMI of course.
Currently I have a 1933 DeSoto 3 window Rumble seat coupe (426 Hemi) and 1946 Dodge Dumpbed pickup (2.5 Dodge turbo 4cylinder) 2002 Chrysler pt cruiser (factory woodie), 2009 Jeep Patriot (still mopar) Long ago I've owned... 1968 Dodge Charger 440 6pac 1971 PLY Duster ( 440- then 426 Hemi) 1964 Dodge Polara 500 ( 383-then 440) All most forgot 1938 DeSoto Coupe ( 360 ) other mopars I've owned.. 1968 coronet wagon, 64 dodge dart,71 dodge polara, 69 ply valiant, 73 dodge charger SE, 77 Chrysler New Yorker,76 dodge Van, 90 dodge conversion van, 79 dodge Omni,84 dodge caravan,88 dodge Grand Caravan.... so what car company do you think I prefer ?
there are SO many cool 60's mopars, and that's the way i voted. besides, it's hard to beat a 60's big block mopar engine (regardless of what it's installed in). can you say max wedge? or hemi? every brand had a car or two that could snap your neck backwards when you dump the clutch. but mopar did it with so many cars throughout the entire decade. however, a '34 dodge coupe would do it for me also. or any chrysler 300 letter car.
How do you count a hybrid Mopar? A 33 Imperial Coupe with a 57 392 Hemi engine. The classic look of the 30's backed up by the power of the 50's.
The 60's are running strong, looks like the 30's, 40's and 50's may be duking it out for second spot !
To me the last good looking MOPAR was built in 1933, I like the DB cars of the 1920's nice quality units. Bob
56's - D500 Dodge, Fury and 300 clone....64 Val factory 273 convert...68 GTX convert....and those pesky Cuda's........oh throw in that 56 Savoy with the little hemi....oh and mom's 67 Val....did I forget some...most likely....
Back in the mid '70's at the Western MD whing-ding, there was a guy and his wife had two identical '46-7-8 Dodge business coups, both in matching gray primer. The vanity plate on one was, FUDDY. The othern' was, DUDDY
1929 Dodge sedan soon to be woodie and parts from a 1931 Chrysler. Back in my youth a 1971 Dart Swinger and a 1970 Roadrunner
