I think its prolly more like early to mid 1950s..because of the train and the way its drawn and the they way the people are dressed.

 

Looks like Texas DOT. One guy working and several supervisors standing watching.

All due respect, D.R., but that almost comes off as a rhetorical question. They were show cars, to test ideas and see what consumers wanted. Few of these concept cars made it to actual production, "as is." But many features did appear, not only among the original company's succeeding models and makes but, ALSO, in those of competing makes.

For one example, look at the Chryser Norseman that went down on the Andria Doria in 1955. Ten years later, the open-air roofline was on numerous Mopars, plus the AMC Marlin. Moreover, IMO, it changed the definition of what a "coupe" or "hardtop" meant in practice.

 

Not much has changed, except todays kids go around looking at electronic screens of various sorts. Sad.

I saw most of these Hollywood cars here, as well.

They also had a Tucker there. It may have been #1030. It looks like they were claiming it was Preston Tucker's personal car back then, now known to be false. Alex Tremulis also visited in March, 1975, and left them an autographed copy of his final blueprint for the Tucker. This blueprint copy ended up with Speedy Bill Smith in Lincoln, Nebraska, along with Tucker #1024 and some other great race cars and engines...

Harry Mann Chev, around 58th & Crenshaw IIRC was a great Corvette dealership in the 50's-70's. My parents bought a couple of cars there and I always took my Corvettes there for service work. They had mechanics that really made the FI engines sing!
