This is one of the best threads I've seen on the HAMB in a long time! I've been to the Garage Journal -- and they are all nice folks I'm sure -- but a little too prissy for my tastes. They're more focused on what they "have" in their shop than what they actually "do" there.
My garage at the house I sold last year, the new house isn't built yet. :-( Yea, that's carpet on the floor,,,,,, 0.0 .
My apologies for foisting a garage with a German car in it on you guys one more time. But a website just released a video about my car and my garage, and I'm just so tickled at being able to see my own car cruising around that I'm posting it here. You also get to see my quirky garage floor lift at work. So if you've got the inclination, and have nine minutes free, click on the image below to watch it. And let me know what you think. Link.
Jack, it's nice to see you found the garage journals sister site. I've known Jack for several years while I was getting lots of help building my garage. Jack, by the way, the porch is supposed to be on the outside of the building , my shop has a porch too . For anyone interested you can see the transformation on my falling down farm junk shed to my man cave at my website www.mrchevynut.com and scroll down to 3rd from bottom post "Junque shed". Only yesterday I filled it completely with a 3rd vehicle, "Mr. Chevy" . Thanks for reminding me, I will have to get the pictures of it now. It's hard to believe I have only had it done for about a year now and all I have is a narrow isle to walk through it!!! I hope to move the cars out in a week or two so I have room to work on the truck.
I love my unincorporated county. No restrictions on buildings. No noise ordinaces. No non-running car restrictions. I need more space.....................
Here is my barn I built in 1999. Cut my own trees, ran em thru a Woodmizer sawmill, nailed em together. Nice and roomy, and warm!
Damn...that pic is bigger than my garage I would post a pic of mine but its so small I can't step back far enough to get it all in frame.
One Sic C, I'm guessing it's ok to have your KCCFFN plate were you are, but here in Kansas City someone would egg your car if you admitted you still liked the Chiefs (maybe next year).
Thanks man. It's a labor of love, 15 years just to get to that point. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I've been looking at this thread while drinking some of Sancho's apple shine and damn if you guys don't have some damn fine garages (full of cool stuff) and it inspired me to go out and take a pic of mine. It's a work in progress but then again aren't they all? I'm hoping to get out there tomorrow and get the Sporty ready for the "Chill".
Well, hell, here's another pic that show the front of the Sporty. Didn't want you all to think I was fibbin'!
