    Ginger Rogers lived her last years here in Medford OR, there is an old theater named after her...rip Ginger.

    From 1956 to 1962 California license plates were all stamped and painted with 56 on each plate. From 1957 to 1962 you would place a sticker for each given year on the rear plate.

    The black plates began in 1963 and are all stamped 63 but it doesn'y show because it's painted black like the plate and also, it's covered by the year sticker.

    I know, confusing. That's the DMV.

    living here I've been to most of the places you have posted aout pPortland an surrounding area's and the coast.
    We watched the first moon landing at the Tic Toc, cruised Broadway, road the trollies in the 50"s, took the ferry across the Columbia to from Oregon to Washington, and a lot more.
    Keep posting as these bring back some great memories of the way things used to be tha I've forgot about when life was a lot slower and simpler.
     
  11. Man, radios sure were a "Big Accessory" back then. I wonder if they ever imagined how small and powerful electronics would become?

    Virginia Lee Hicks, (b.10/23/1928, d.3/24/1990) Her figure measured 42D,26",37". She founded the Exotic Dancers League of North America and the Exotic World Museum in Helendale CA. She was cremated and her ashes are on display at the Museum.
