Just received a message from FNG HAMBER jamesH551 saying to contact him about the 1941 Mercury hood I am looking for. A look at his HAMB info. shows he's in the UK.
Could this be a potential rip-off. Wonder what it would cost to ship a hood from the UK? He gave me the following phone number to call. +447024087073

i wonder how many 1941 Mercury cars ended up in the UK that he could have a hood to sell you? couldn't be many , it was just before the war

 

Does his pm say almost exactly what you posted? If it does its a scam. I've had 2 different uk guys reply to my wanted ads here.

19fordy i live just down the road in hollywood . have you ever heard of creative workshop in dania beach? seems like they could make a hood from just a pic. even if the guy in the uk was legit, thnk about the cost of shipping, time and what happen' s if it arrives mangled how would you handle that. if you can't find creative workshop online let me know and i'll get you the number

 

Old car city in white county Georgia, call them I will bet they have one. Shipping from the uk will cost way more than the hood is worth.
