ya AAA towed it twice the first 207 miles then got a room in gustine
then had AAA take her home after we got some shut eye
ill be damb if i run raidials
no ****ing way suire hope coker straitens out this firestone ****
damb that was a brand new tire the tread separated in about a 1 foot spot making a big bubble and the tread craked as well all the way around the tire

 

Kudos to you for being that dedicated to your bias plies... But you're telling us that if a fellow hamber showed up with a comparable sized radial so you could drive your car to your destination you would have turned them down and had it towed anyways?? I'm sorry I'm questioning your logic, I know you're a cool cat and a helluva member on here but it seems a bit rediculous....

 

I think he's just saying he runs bias plys even though things like this happen more often than we would like.

(Although I'm not sure how one radial and three bias plys would handle over a several hundred mile trip.)

 

Better than 3 bias pumped to 30 psi, and one not so much...

I recall many times as a kid in the fifties my dad had to run up to Lebec (or Gorman) to help a brokedown family member , usually a blown head gasket ... killer grade! Good Luck!

i'd rather drive a car with four flat bias ply's and no spare, than the same car with good tires man. i also hate phillips head screws to.

 

never said that i would have ran any spare that would have worked a hamber called and said he had a 225 r15 way to big my cars preety low in the front wouldnt of worked what i said and ment is im not gona switch my tires to raials bias plys forever
