Thanks again for the advice guys ... Good and bad, I like to get an extra set of eyes on this one. I was kinda unsure of the whole thing. Here is the original cluster, pretty darn bitchin. So I thought of another idea. Maybe take the radio panel and make a hidden gauge panel behind it ? Any ideas?

Yep would love to have that done. But I'm pressed for time trying to get the truck ready for roundup, time wise it wouldn't be an option right now. Im installing a wiring harness right now so that's why I'm jacking with the gauges

Dude, DEFINITELY KEEP & USE the old Cluster. You can easily manufacture an insert for the radio area, and install the gauges there. As far as the air pressure gauges, you need to hide them. It's not something you're going to be looking at while driving down the road.
By the way, the original cluster is beautiful!

I would definitely leave the original gauge in and find another spot for the others.

Was thinking of making a new smooth panel out of stainless and that will be my door. It would fold down to revel the gauges.

That'd be my choice. or find a delete plate if they made one for your car and use that as the door.

Well I repainted my stock gauges, putting them back in. They will be there just for looks. Working on a delete panel today to hide the other gauges.

  10. I don't care for it at all. If it were me I would run the speedo in the stock location whether it worked or not and then put the gauges in a row where the radio used to be. I would also look for better gauges as tinme goes on. a set of old S/Ws either really old or even the newer black face gauges would look a lot better and you can get S/W pressure gauges.

Oh I am trying to be gentle here sp pleasee don't think I am being a meany.

I think I'd build filler panels for the two rectangle areas that are to the R-L of the original speedo, then put the air gauges in each side. I'd get a speedo for the center then, and put the other three remaining gauges below it. I'd also make all the faces match in color.

No, i do not think it is looks "stupid." i wouldn't do it that way myself, but the main thing is are you comfortable with it?

If it works for you, then go for it. Screw what everyone else thinks---(for the most part) i mean, i like to put my gauges in a line on top of the dash; Now, alot of people would think that looks and is stupid. But it works for me.

Be like Captain Decker in Star Trek----He didn't give a fuck.

Is there any way you can use the internals of your new gauges in the spots where the original gauges were and just reuse the original face plates?

I thought of that but didn't want to butcher the housing. Then there would be no turning back. I like the way "natphase" did his on his kaiser build though . Very slick.
