thanks, this is always a tough part of the build for me, somewhere between the mock up and the finishing it gets pretty mundane especially on a long term project like this one
. Man this thing is turning out awesome. Great craftsmanship throughout. I look forward to seeing it finished up. .
Looks really ,realy good Paul. I wish I could just pop over and take a peek but this will have to do for now. Firewall looks dandy. That is what I will probably work on next on mine. That and toeboards. That motor is so hot! Damn I wish I had your know how. I am trying to find someone here that know Olds motors and can help me in the right direction. You are so close. I gotta catch up. Keep it going pal.(PS. The rest of the car looks fantastic too)
thanks guys, daddy o, been watching your build with a keen eye, looking real good Jeff, that's exactly the look I was after, nice and wicked! Dale, been watching yours too, you are building one of my all time favorite coupes thanks for sharing your progress!
That is looking great Paul, can't wait to see it on the road this summer. It's about time you had a roof over your head. It's so understated.......
I didn't understanded understated? what I would like to know though, is how is it that you can put a car together in what? six months? and it takes some of us a decade to get to the half way point?
Well I meant that and every other cool verb that can be applied. I would love to build a car in 6 months... unfortunately I have a very un-cooperative line of credit. hahahahah Just bitch'in Paul.
cleaning up the firewall and moved the radiator support rods, that meant modifying the bead a bit got the radiator back from the shop again had them solder on a couple brackets I made to accept the support rods and had them install a pressure style neck to accept the pressure cap I hid inside a stock cap need to clean up the notch that clears the overflow bib some but it's getting closer
An appropriately sized shoehorn was used. Quick question. How is the generator supported? Is there just the stock style arm, or is there a support underneath that I can't see?
Six months??? My last one took 5 years and it's still not done. "Understated" was sarcasm, that thing is just plain evil!
I fabbed a heavy bracket that fastens to a couple head bolts, similar to the stock mount, under the generator.
I love this coupe. Every detail looks so well thought out. Excellent job Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
How on earth did I miss this build. I LOVE stock height roof Model As, and I love supercharged Olds motors. I dig the hell out of this, sub'ed
Paul, I can understand about "A" Coupe room inside . . . . My '31 Coupe is channelled the width of the frame. Of course the seat is right on the floor ! Still drooling on the thought of cruising my "A" sometime SOON ! Yours is just beyond discription. It has many little things you did that will really make this "A" ! Keep up the great work. Dave
