Thanks, I thought maybe that was it. So he's had the truck pretty much the same since '63. Very cool '30 Panel.

Thanks Mike, quite a complement, now that I "get" it!

    Tom and Phartman,
I had to run out for an appointment, that's why I didn't replay, on top of that I seem to go dumb when I want to post pictures.
I bought my Panel in 1959, I'll post a picture of the sign we put up at the show soon.
    Thanks (keep it simple) Mike[IMG]

    Tom,
Thanks for all of your OUTSTANDING photos! I wasn't able to make the GNRS this year, but I DID enjoy reviewing your thread the last several days for your fine coverage.

    Thanks again!!!

As I saw this car run at Bonneville last summer, i remember thinking what a nice AMBR contender it would make...if they even allowed competition roadsters in the category.

Of course, decades ago, the big loving cup was given to two cars each year, the AMBR and the top competition racer.

This laminated and carved wood fantasy motorized tricycle sculpture was nothing short of mind-blowing as you took in the fine details and carefully placed woodgrain. It's about 4 feet long.

I agree on the vette. Wheels aint wrong for once. Im not a lover of big billets on old cars but once every 100 cars one will work. This is that one.
Thinkin about im no fan of them on new cars either :)

Unbelievable. Could have built a real car or bike in that amount of time. Impressive work. And I agree on the Vette . . . gorgeous, but wrong wheels.

  17. Tom- I have to keep coming back to your thread. Absolutely great shots. Dean Lowe's RPU is a keeper. Damn shame I was born so good looking instead of rich or I would have me one. Love the RPUs.
    Later,

Tom - you are the unparalleled master at event coverage. Outstanding!

  20. Tom, did you happen to get a shot of the '41 Merc (behind this shoebox)? Was it a woodie also?

    Great pics for sure!
