You know I love you buddy! I just wish you'd be a little more honest...
We BOTH would love to go back in time when it really was a heads up deal, unfortunately it ain't happening.. We do our best to show the fans what it was like back when these cars were the TRUE "Kings" of the dragstrip... Is it perfect? No, but having guys like Bones Balogh driving the Big John Mazmanian car at Indy and Freddy Bear in the K.S. car along with Del Wisner returning there was as awesome as it will ever get today. I sincerely wish you and your group the best, and hope you guys get some more races...

Cat fights! Just like the old days! (sorta) with the cam wars. Get them all together and settle it on the strip. I'd pay money to see that.

I would love to see that too. Problem is the Classical AA/GS groups cars can if they want to, race against the Nostalgia AA/Gassers as long as their cars are running a mag and iron blocks and heads. They would also have to step up their members on track performance if they are to have any chance against the Nostalgia AA/Gassers. This fact became apparent the last time the two groups met at Thompson. Both cars in the final were Nostalgia AA/Gassers owned by the same man out of Canada. The Classical AA/GS rules are written in such a way as to prohibit the possibility of most of the Nostalgia AA/Gassers from competing. One group runs on a 5.50 index. The other group has no index. One groups cars certify to 8.50. The other groups cars certify to 8.50 and 7.50. Neither group is running to their potential chassis certifications corresponding elapsed times... yet. So that means one groups show is pretty stale right now. I don't know what the Classical AA/GS guys get paid but I do know that the eight cars of Nostalgia AA/Gasser club members that qualify for one of their races each get paid $500.00. They also get free entry to the track and tuning assistance from two of the most knowledgeable blown and injected engine builders namely, Jim Oddy and John Rossiter.

  11. Ha Ha!!!

Rocky, you got more bullshit than all the political parties combined.

    Maybe that's why you're JUST a promoter.

You can NEVER say you're the best when YOU will not race against THE best. Maybe someday you will come and to TRY RACE with the BIG boys of REAL AA/GS there is no such thing as a 5.50 BRACKET AA/GS Race never was never will be sorry! Can you REALLY say you are the best? I don't think so?

lol... You guys crack me up! I speak the truth and back it up with facts and you cry foul..! My suggestion to you is to get working on some race dates, looks like a lot of down time for your group.... or, better yet, raise the front ends up a little and come join us, we have PLENTY of races...

lol.... I did, and won two out of three events, I even got banned from racing with the Oddy group for going too fast!!!!! You really do have selective memory! As far as claiming to be the best, I NEVER layed claim to that. To me the TRUE heros in this sport are the pioneers of the early days. All I'm doing is bringing back some old race cars to show todays fans what they missed... Again, GOOD luck with your group! I really hope everyone has a good time this year and stays safe.

  17. Well at least the guys out here use the "real" cars and not some uber-dollar repops that DON'T win like you say!

  18. Hey Rocky I just found a video of your "fast" car running Bowling Green. Good thing your mouth is fast 'cause what I see between the 56 second mark and the 1:38 mark tells me the your car sure isn't. Good thing your rocker panels were built above the front axle spindles because your power sure won't get 'em there! I guess you seeing the sky is more important than you seeing a win light. Ha Ha!

Rocky, you're a legend in your own mind.

The reason is because of simplicity and cost.

I like to watch all types of these cars race...... Because its all good!

All I have to say is ..... Just like when I raced on dirt, usually all the guys who beat their chops telling everybody how good they are..... Weren't the guys I needed to worry about when the green flag dropped.
Because their shit wasn't really that good, or they where sitting in the bleacher creacher section telling everybody that would listen how "they would do it".

You all have great causes and ideas ..... But remember it's a show, whether its booked in or a winners purse.....and as soon as the people quite coming .....we all get to stay home.
