I watched the Super Bowl with some friends and one of them eats at that Kelly's. he says the bisquits are... wait for it.......HUUUUGE!!!

According to him, the childs plate could feed an adult. They've got a hamburger thats about 6" wide and 1" thick. AND pancakes the size of hubcaps.

    So, I vote Kelly's too.

    Now...... breakfast or lunch?

    I vote both.
if we do breakfast....earlier the better....like 9am works best for me. It will take me 45 minutes just to get there if we go to the one on 45 south.

I have eaten at Kelly's for many years and their portions are truly huge. The pancakes are bigger than the plate and a regular order of bisquits and gravy would feed a family of four.

Just post a time and I will be there, all three of my cars are back to project stage for the Winter but I look forward to meeting some new friends.

  11. 930 to 1000 works for me, that'll give me time to drink coffe with the wife before I head south. I'm looking forward to seeing Kellys bisquits too:)

Looking at the responses, 10am seems to work for everyone. So, unless there are any objections, 10am it is.

Now, about the weather:(. A low of 65 and a high of 73 with a 30% chance for isolated thunder storms. I've noticed that usually, when it says isolated, it means the north side. My cut off for driving is 40% and above. So, keep the forecast in mind, as the day gets closer. Also, keep in mind, this is Houston, so it could change either way.

I look forward to seeing everyone! Drive hungry!:)

  18. I think Brokespoke should get the "long haul" award. We should pitch in and buy his breakfast for driving the most miles to get there.

    Hey Fred
Bob and I (Terry) thought about running with you on the way over to Kellys, Bob will leave form Missiour City area, me from Richmond area, I will meet up with Bob somewhere and then meet up with you somewhere. You plan out the route, and let me know where to meet you. here's my cell No. 281 610 6558. we can do the back roads, I know you don't like the freeways. We may also need to plan a RAIN Date. 30 % could turn out to be 50% by Saturday.

That could work. I'll probably take Almeda Genoa Rd. to Telephone Rd. Then catch the street that goes by Hobby Airport to 45 South. I think that street is Monroe, but I'm not sure. I'll look it up to make sure and give you a call. We could meet at the convenience store/gas station at 288 and Almeda Genoa Rd.

Yea, 30% could turn into 50% quickly. I'm monitoring the forecast.

The Weather Channel is still saying 30%, but channel 11 says 20%. I'm being optomistic and going with channel 11.

My new rear shocks arrive tomorrow, so I'm looking to have a softer ride on Saturday. My butt is going to thank me.

I'll give you a call Saturday morning. Here's my planned route. It's acually a nice little cruise. The locals will get a good morning show.

    1. Almeda Genoa to Telephone Rd.
    2. Telephone Rd. to Park Place Blvd. Make a right.
    3. Park Place to Kelly's.

Simple and scenic. Well, as scenic as the Southeast side can get.:D

I can taste the breakfast tacos already!

to correct my earlier description of Kelly's location, its just south of the south loop, not just inside the south loop... maybe a mile's difference but didn't want to get anyone turned around!

  30. Anyone going to be heading up to Conroe on the 15th for the swap meet? I'd like to go Saturday (16th) but we gotta pick up a new family project :)
