Yes! When my boy is 5, I expect the same response. Although, I will also accept "Kustom." ### Kustom Falcon Build Thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=734282
Save the picture forever. I have one that I did in kindergarten. My mom saved it for me. I still get a kick out of it.
My grandson just tuned 2. I've been buying hot wheels for a while and playing with him and them. My daughter in law told me he now leaves the house with at least one in his pocket at all times,or he has a fit. I've got 2 more grandsons under 1 so there will be plenty of cars.
To be honest I have fallen back into the Lego trap just from playing with my boys, I can't believe how expensive they have gotten, a decent kit is pushing $40 and some are over $100, same with model cars, crazy prices nowadays.
That post has made my morning after working the night shift. Keep him into cars. If he doesnt become the next Chip Foose, Jessie Greening, or Alan Johnson at least he will have a great hobby with great potential to be a wonderful stress release from hectic day to day stuff
That is so cool. Good on him I struck out trying for a boy (four beautiful girls ), now I await a Grandson to bestow the tradition of Hot Rodding in my family that has been on going for four generations. Out of the four Daughters, two show interest in the hobby but not to the extent of actually wanting to own one much less work on one Keep up the good mentoring
And more importantly, he/she will learn how to FIX stuff, instead of just throwing it away and buying a new one.
You're raising that boy right. I work with DFCS in Georgia doing adoptions. I recently placed a 14 year old boy with a family, adoptive dad is a gearhead like us. Adoptive dad bought a '54 Hudson in honor of him joining the family, and they are working on it together.
Does this mean that if we have another kid, I can use that as justification to buy another project car?
