Features 1933-1936 Willys panel, delivery picks

I am complying pictures of deliverys panels what ever you want to call them before anybody jumps on the band wagon, I know they werent made untill 1935 I want picks of rusted out projects to g***ers, etc. Post up your projects or picks. I just want Willys panels or delivery picks , This all I got so far. I am one of the few to own one too

They are indeed a Panel Delivery - not Sedan Delivery. A sedan delivery is made from a - wait for it - s-e-d-a-n. The Willys 77 Model 77 has a longer body, a different roof line than the sedan. Now that we have that established, keep em coming....

That's a nice panel. Proably one of the only ones restored to original condition if not the only one ?

 

A 1936 body I owned - 10k original miles and had not been driven since 1942. Now in Maine....

 

Let's get the numbers here - these things are rare by any definition 1935 (with crank out windshield) 88 produced, 1936 with different dash and fixed windshield 370 produced. So when you hear a Ford guy talk about rare - say less than 10,000 produced, or a Mopar guy - 'one of one - with a pink shifter knob' - you gotta laugh!

 

That was a nice body , is the guy who has it now going original or ?
Did you have the belt line moldings with it ?

 

Anybody know if the Hrudka Bros. panel still around? Is the Dog Catcher still in the same shape when it was turned into a show car?

No belt line moldings with it, but as always Lee Kay at www.kayskustommetalworks.com is your man for replacement sheet metal....

I don't know what the current owner has planned for it - I haven't spoken with him in a long while. I am thinking of reviving my 1935 Panel somewhere in the near future - ti is apart at the moment - or selling it so I can finish some of my other projects....

 

Hrudka Bros panel last time I saw it in St Louis MO was a hideous orange street rod - sad

I looked at your old panel last Saturday. I was at Peter's place doing a little parts exchange. He hasn't done anything with it yet but keeps saying that he's going to. He has way too many projects going as it is.

 

I heard my buddy Pete from Maine plans to use this to tow and push start his front end top fueler called "the spirit" I can't wait to see that set-up,hopefully will be ready for New England Hot Rod Reunion this Sept. I am hoping to be hired on as crew helper!
