    And I would bet that it overshot the wires on landing to deserve the push-off. They would have sent them off the side or back otherwise... They never would have stopped at sea to throw one off the front!

    You're right, I wasn't sure because the original photo was too small, but it is an Avenger and yes, it probably overshot the cables, guess that happened more often on a jeep carrier, they were pretty short compared to the larger carriers
