Hi All You know that great Life magazine image of Norm bending over the engine of his "T" with the baby in the car. The full on side shot. Does anyone know of someone selling prints of that image. I'd love to get one. Thanks, Mo
Don't know anyone selling the posters but you might save this photo and send it to your local Walgreen's and have a poster made. HRP
Thanks, that's a super clear image. I'll try it. How can anyone look at that picture and NOT become ahot rodder???
Baby's hair is messed up from ridin' in the roadster...lol. I get the idea that the little one was enjoying this. Paying close attention to what Daddy's doin' too...lol. So cool.
Try contacting Norm's niece, Mary. She is still posting under Norm's user name, "The Rod God". Chances are that is her in the photo. Also check our her post under Curious-How Many Kookie Clones Are There & Where?
No doubt but when the photography was taken in 1957 there were no child restraint laws and Normie Poo did actually have a child seat that was popular at the time,,absolutely useless in a accident but everyone my age grew up without seat belts and air bags. HRP
Everyone that actually survived of course. All the ones that bit the dust in a car crash obviously not so much. But yes, 1957 was a different time and of course not all of it was for the better. Heck, my parents in the 70's never wasted any time fooling around with car seats or even seat belts for that matter. That is a very cool shot though.
I only met norm twice ,being younger i never had seen the pics that made him famous thanks for the post.
That is his niece in the car - she was on here a couple weeks ago telling some cool stories about Norm.
