Thats near Yellow Knife. A trading post on route 66. That one happened to be closed when me and my Dad did our 66 trip form LA back to Dearborn. And I drove back home to LA after.

Everybody's been posting great stuff, though I'd surely like to see more sources and info, not just pix that can't be searched in the future. Folks, posting single pix fast as possible just to drive up post count makes no sense. Everybody's working so hard, it seems less than it could be if we only post for one day's entertainment.

Ron, this RC ad is AWESOME. I know that design was around as early as 1938; now we know it was in Boy' Life as late as '46. THANKS!

I agree with you .
If there is info I usually post it with the photo.Not sure if folks are looking at the photos because the same pics get posted every few pages.I know I have posted reruns before but not a page later.I do love this thread and looking at the photos and day dreaming of yesterdays .I personally don't care about the post count thing only care to share neat old photo's i come across else where .
