And that is exactly how people looked at those cars in the scrap yard photo back then, now it bothers all of us to see these cars in that situation, and in 40 years it will bother the people after us to see photos from now with all the 80's-00's cars in that situation. It's all a natural progression.

That 37 Tudor doesn't look too bad at all! I need one of those.

You forgot they all look alike too,not too much to get excited about in the showrooms today unless you want to spent 35 grand and up.

Stay on-topic, guys. This is a thread about old cars sitting & rotting, not some late model bash-fest. Nobody reading this thread cares about your opinion of new cars. Trust me.

  13. The Buick and the Ford are dwelling behind my barn, the sixty-four Chevy rag-top is in the same zip-code, but not mine. Forgot about Ford 8N Tractor being in this album!

A friend of mine is looking to buy a back half of a 40 ford! too bad this ones in Texas

  22. Yes I'd say they are former Air Force property too. We had several of those Dodge 4x4 crew cab "six packs" when I was in, back in the early/mid 70s.

I was the Motor Pool dispatcher/Supply NCOIC and had to 'issue' (loan) those by-then old crates out to visiting units. 6 cylinders, granny tranny rattle traps. Nobody wanted 'em so I'd save them for my 'favorite' customers :D A few years later we got new replacement F250s and life got better.

  23. We had them in Minot AFB and Bucks Harbor AFS, early sixties, early 70's.

A few in the woods on my brothers farm. One was a 57 Chevy and I believe a late 50's Ford Wagon. We salvaged some trim pieces off the 57 about 25 years ago. They are pretty much part of the earth now. Good landmark in the woods when hiking.

I am trying to get it. It's mostly there. All the stainless is on the car. The car has as much rust as it does metal. You can poke your finger through places on it. The floor is allmost all gone. They used it for a trash can at their deer hunting camp. Mainly trying to agree on a price.
