Pot meet kettle. Perpetually posting the same redundant opinion oriented questions looking for other opinions only slows this otherwise great thread down. Worse still using an obnoxious eyesore writing 'style'. Vintage shots thread - not post rambling novels about vintage shots thread. Perhaps you're merely upset that you can't keep up commenting jimi.

This thread became even better after placing jimi on ignore over a year ago. Unfortunately when one of you quotes him that garble still leaks through. ;)

Pictures and/or short facts/memories are the way to go.

  9. One of my favorite "plinkers" from the 40s too. "Cash for your Trash" was one of his big war era hits. Years ago, I found one of his rare "picture disc" records at an estate sale, had it framed.

They were coach built as taxis. This one should probably not have large logo hubcaps on it.

I love all the Tucker Photos. If any of you visit Napa Valley, be sure to go to the Rubicon Winery owned by Frances Ford Copula. He has a beautiful Tucker on display upstairs.

I've always appreciated the drawings. Is it sick to think it's a better picture then the photograph?

More naval aircraft from the 1940s, from the Life archives:

Douglas Devastator TBD-1's in formation...don't think that they went into combat, replaced by the Dauntless, anyone know for sure?
