I believe that Devastators were used at Corral Sea and Midway. Replaced by the Grumman Avenger.

American Bantam roadster, from 1947 Life, would love to have it today, lots of them laid down their lives to become drag roadsters:

The woman in the photo is Preston Tucker's secretary Dee Dee Jordan. On the left is her husband Al and on the right is the late Richard Jones who was the authority on all things Tucker. The car is Tucker #1022.

If you like Tucker photos and history check out my Tucker thread on the HAMB at:

  22. The Devestators were totally obsolete by 1942, the Japanese made mincemeat of them. Destruction rate was nearly 100% at Midway, they were so slow it was like skeet shooting for IJN gunners.

  23. Here's some more from the Vancouver,BC. area, including the first "horseless carriage" to arrive in the area.

....................And then, in the end Dog's ruled the world, and they too build cars in the 19th century of their reign over the green planet.
Then at the pinnacle of the K9 race 'Fidoryan' looking back over many kennels past dedicated the greatest kennel on the Intercollar and started the H.A.M.B. (Someone think of a K9 hamb).

Doc.:confused:Yeah, I have no idea what I'm talkin' about either.........

Yup, that is the Grumman J2F Duck, mainly used as a Utility aircraft they were also used as Search/Air Sea Rescue aircraft by US Navy, AAF, Marines and Coast Guard. They saw survive until just after the end of WWII, apart from that I don't know shit about them!!

    Doc.
