  4. Just one word, AWESOME!!!

  5. Quain... I truly love this picture. It looks like it was taken 30 years ago.It looks good behind that ranchero. The trailer is probably saying good to have you back old friend.
Enough of that... I just want to thank you for the time you have taken to post this build for all to see. I haven't missed a day that I didn't look. I plan on using the thread for ideas when I get into my build later this year. Mine will be sporting a 427 too. I hope to meet you at a track this year but most definitely at Henderson.

Gene I wish you well with the grin that is stuck on your face. And I would imagine it might only get worse when shes painted and breathing fire out the pipes :) You are truly one of my new hero's

the only thisng wrong with the ranchero pic was that it needed to be a 68 not a 78

Quain, Thanks so much for helping to bring this historic race car back. I would truly love to hear it make an all out run some time soon. It will be quite the day for you, Gene and the "Moonlighter" !

I am surely going to miss opening this tread every morning and following all of your attention to detail and craftmanship.
Thank you for this wonderful thread, looking for the continuing saga.
Hope to make it down from Maine to see it in real life.

It would be nice if we had a way to let Quains racing sponsors know what a stand up guy we think he is. I'm sure they already know but it might be nice to hear it from his fans. Shoot!, I didn't know what "Lee Boy" was until I started reading this thread. It caused me to do a little research and I found out they build asphalt paving equipment. Sponsorship works!:)

If there was a HAMB man of the year award, Quain would be on the short list

Between your own Willys and Mr. Cromer's, I don't think this is the last project. Please keep us up to date on what comes next. Thanks for all you have done, and good luck with the upcoming racing season.

Thank's Tommy that's a great idea. I'll find out and post later where ya'll can send comments so they will get in the right hands. Sorry if I'm high jacking this thread here. Lee Boy knows about this rebuild but they don't know how many people are supporting it. They have been with me since 1997 with 3 different owners but it still won't hurt to let them know that ya'll have got my back. Times got lean when the economy got bad in 2009 but we backed our program down and they helped me make it work just on a smaller scale. I happy to report that I have signed with them again for 2013. Sorry about the high jack now I'll get back to what we are here for.

Future stock your right I always have some sort of project going on but most of them are not Hamb friendly. I'm on the down hill side of a 67 camaro that is going to be my master peace I have 4 years in it but I only get to work on it in my spare time it's going to be a low riding street car so it won't work here. I'm starting a 55 chev gasser for Shannon Smith he may do the build thread him self because these build threads take a lot of time that I'm not going to have when racing season starts back.
