You sure - looked like the Long Island Freeway today

7. Some from Richmond,BC, Home of Vancouver International Airport. For the younger crowd, in the last picture, that short fence in front of the airplane, was called "Airport Security" in days gone by!;)

9. A few more from Richmond BC. and Vancouver International Airport. The first pic, is Stunt pilot Bernadine King, beside that beautiful Cord. How about a visit from an RCAF Hawker Hurricane?

11. Vancouver BC. First pic, is a brake check, on Georgia street, in downtown Vancouver. Nowadays, you sure wouldn't want to stand in the middle of that road. Probably one of the busiest streets in the city. The last pic, today is considered Canada's poorest postal code, ironically called "Victory Square".

12. One of my faves from back in the days of good, pre-Beatles American R&R. Hard to imagine him as anything but flamboyant! He's gotta be in his 80s(?) and from what I've heard is still going strong. Remember Lu-CEEEEL?

Thanks for the thoughtful responses, guys. I'm afraid the single-post point overshadowed what I was trying to say. I, too, post singles, e.g., if it takes me a long time to find/research something, or if it doesn't mix too well with other pix and really should stand on its own merit, etc. (Yesterday's record sleeves being an example. For me, the merits of a photo or graphic help determine how I handle it. And that's subjective not scientific.)

I certainly understand the more important point about info being sometimes inaccurate, and nobody wants to perpetuate that. Good, obvious reasoning there. What I really meant (and what I should have said:p) was, please (everybody, not singlng out one or two) post what you have, even if it's just a generic label for a photo (car make, year, location, what have you). With some five new pages a day, it quickly becomes difficult to impossible to relocate even something posted a few days or a week ago, much less six months ago. Any label is better than no ID, IMO. And, I don't expect everybody to agree with me; that's never going to happen. Anybody can "tune out" things (yes, including my comments;)), just like watching TV, right? It's a free country, so people all have their own viewpoints, and they always will.

Nothing's ever perfect, but the one thing everybody agrees on is that Dog's thread is the coolest thing out there.:D

I found this on F.B., 40's & 50's pin up art plus my all time favorite big band/boogie woogie hit. :)

Recent photo? Looks like Bob Bahre's house, where many posed shots have been taken, especially popular with the auction companies.
