    Today was a major milestone.
Its been over 10 years since Dennis (Harms Way) found, and then sold this coupe body to me.
It got put on hold whilst Keith and I started our "modified" business.
It got put on hold again when I got dropped to part-time at work.
It got put on hold yet again when the cancer came.
But today, today it came home from the paint shop!
With me and Erik (Hot Rod Apprentice) pushing, my daughter Hannah steering, and my wonderful wife Lisa taking pictures, it is back home!
The seat is at the trimmers. I have to remove the crusty chrome from the grille, hang the sheetmetal, and modify and fit the '40 dash. I will do what I can, but it will be in the ba*****t at Cobo, on the Single Finger booth.
    I think it looks the ********! I feel like a dog with 2 ****s!
Today the sun shone, the Hot Rod Gods are smiling, AND SO AM I!!!!
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

    Man,I'm happy for you.

Often we look around and things seem to fall in place for some people,,a lot of us seem to run into a brick wall and the project keeps getting pushed to the back burner,,it's always a thrill to finally get a car to this stage. :) HRP

That car says HOT ROD in capital letters. :) Love the whole look, especially the satin paint, and I wish you well with your health.

Wow, that is a bad *** hot rod... I like it. I'm glad to hear you're finally at this stage, and that you've cleared the hurdles that life throws at us. If I make it to Cobo, I'll definitely want to see it in person.

Very nicely done. From what I can see, you nailed the stance.

"I'm black and I'm proud" was a recording by James Brown.
Probably showing my old soul-boy roots from years ago!
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

Nice! It's inspiring to hear stories of people clearing hurdles!

I like the pic with your daughter in it. The best times are the ones we share...

btw... I'm so stoked for D'troit. Just wishing for the day I bring my Caddy!

congrats on nearly being there, if that doesn't give you the boost up to get it done nothing will. Great to see someone who keeps at it regardless of what hurdles are thrown your way. Enjoy it to the max.

    Forgot one!
This sums up the coupe to me. I tried to build what a regular guy in the late '50s early '60s would have built in his home garage with the usual tools. Just a simple, basic, Hot Rod. Nothing special. Nothing clever, nothing flash, just get the job done kinda thing.
    Cheers,
    Stewart.
