Probably taken in 1989. Both Tuckers were owned by Bob Bahre for a period of time. I'm sure the original poster meant no harm in putting it up. There are only a handful of people on the planet that could date this photo.

    Thanks Maggie,

Boats my Dad built were not yacht like at all, more cabin cruiser or runabout type. Sad thing is the only photos of the boats are old B&W that seem to have disappeared:( My oldest sister "thinks" she may know where some of the old family photos are, I'm hoping. Thanks again to you and all the folks that make this thread so fun.

    Wow! This is EXACTLY and
PRECISELY what I need (and best
    of all, it's Hamb-friendly and
    "traditional" even!) after the
big snow storm of the last two
    days that pummelled Southern
Ontario and is still hitting the
    Canadian Maritime provinces
and large pats of North-East U.S.
    Seriously, I hope everybody's OK.
(Are all you guys in the North
East having fun playing in the
    snow??!! :D

  22. ONE GREAT BIG AMEN...the guys posting all the printed magazine ads and travel post cards evidently dont know what a vintage "SHOT" is...or this could go on forever...I think this thread was intended for personal photos of long ago taken by everyday people..

    Yep EDDIE,----Thats me!--At least I had more hair then!---HA!
We milled the head, ground the cam, & installed a "straight exhaust pipe", & thought I had the fastest Whizzer in town!
Had Dad run alongside on the straight blvd.----Thought I was doing 60,when he yelled thru the open window of the '41 Buick 4 dr. 35 mph!!!
    That popped my "Bubble".

Year later traded the Whizzer off for a 1948 Cushman motor scooter to handle 2 paper routes.-----Don:D:D

Can you imagine the explanation/ justification from this senior fire guy (the one sitting in the car) to his chief to get the convertible?
"............. oh, go on chief, we'll be able to jump in it quicker than opening the doors, and, ummmm, we can put a ladder in it easier than on the roof of a sedan, and ummm, we can get these loverley ladies all dressed up in red coats and hats and white boots and gloves, and then we can get them to ......................"
Sure, he's had to put up with the signs on the doors, including the Texaco sponsorship, and the lights and sirens, but hey, he's the maaaaannnnnnn!!!! (plus he got all those babes in this cool pic with him).
    Haha. :D :D :D :D

amazing thread,i'm on page 255,thanks for sharing those time capsule

  28. Roger that! Like the old saying goes "some would complain if they were hung with a new rope..." I never did . Great stuff here, great mix, pics, ads, postcards... all vintage and with enough variation to satisfy most.

  29. Not exactly the same but I got a '67 LeSabre as part of the 'deal' when I got married in the early 70s. That car was a tank, it had that somewhat oddball Buick 340 4bbl in it. Kind of a sleeper cuz it could move out. Ended up as a derby car at the local fair in 1982 or '83.

Don, that is June Palmer again. Google her for a LOT of pics, some with a LOT less clothes on. Quite the crowd pleaser.
