Here are some good shots of the activity and products at the Kaiser-Frazer Willow Run production factilities, thanks to a Feb. 2012 post by RaceRon. (I found this with a quick search of this thread, incidentally, as Ron labeled it with some reliable, yet very basic info.;)) I only wish that Preston Tucker could have found a financial backer with half the wherewithall that Henry Kaiser had at his disposal after WWII!:(

Thanks, Jimi, I would never had figured out this piece of automotive history, and your comments on Henry Kaiser are right on track...apparently when Darrin tried to get him to adapt the Darrin sports roadster, both Kaiser brothers refused, but Henry's wife persuaded him to start production...but for a variety of reasons (again, your comments about Henry fit right in), production was quickly canceled...Glasspar was supposed to complete the cars, but again problems, so very few survive:

Burlington Route steamer with a SD 24 demo behind it. It looks like it's at Palmer Lake, Colorado.

IIRC, they produced 435 of these and about 400 have been identified. Darrin bought around 50 of the last cars and put Cadillac engines and Hydramatics in them. I beleive that some removable hardtops were also created for those cars. Some of the cars were raced in sports car events.
