Can anyone get me some dimensions on an early LaSalle top shift transmission? We want to put the correct transmission back in the Kurtis Tommy Lee Special would like to know how many changes we might have to make to get it to work. It's currently got some Ford Model A (?) 3-speed top shift transmission in it. We'd like to know... Input shaft length, diameter and spline count? Tip to tail length? Bell housing mating surface to shifter position? Thanks people!
The pilot bushing area is 1", input shaft to trans face is 8" trans mt face to center or shifter is 2 1/2 "spline measures 1.225 and is 10 count, it is 26" from the end of the yoke to the mount face. Hope this helps Gary
