Such a cool wags mate. Love it. These would be the best holiday wagon as they're so big haha. Does yours have the 2 way tailgate.

  2. Thanks to President's Day and the fact that I got the 29 RPU done and off to it's owner, I got to work on the Falcon today. Hadn't touched it for a year. I fabbed, modified and mounted the Shelby 'R' Apron and am pretty happy with how it came out.

  3. Nice! I like the look- gonna' paint ta' match?

I'd leave it black but I'm pretty squirrelly....

That certainly looks different. Would be interesting to see it painted to match the rest of the car. Or maybe a race theme with something like white Shelby stripes from front to rear. Now you have started you have to keep the theme going.

  5. Oops just realized I posted this in the wrong thread, meant to do it in the Doing Falcons Right. Any way, when I do the rest of the body mods I think the car is going back to original white with a couple of Shebly stripes in Blue.

With a little bit of work you could remove the chrome trim and open up the front of the hood bulge to make a nice little scoop. Or even just cut the scoop out of the chrome trim.

You have no idea how much i'd like to have one of these wagons, and maybe is a ''big block'' 6 too?
I wonder how is it that all the cars i truly want are almost non-existent in europe...
Anyways, were those torque thrust lookin mags really a factory option?
    How kool would that be?

Now that i think of it, maybe in the stats these were badged as Fairlanes? If so it would be fairly easy to find...

That's some wagon! To this American, this Aussie specimen looks like a blend of Torino, Maverick, and Mustang body parts.

  20. Fine , I'll remove mine before any bodys panties bunch up . Figured some of the USA guys might find it interesting seeing Falcons that were not produced in the USA.

  21. Although interesting, we have to respect the rule and that starts with a 1965 cut off for car types. But i'll betcha a bunch of guys over at the TFFN would love to see it.

I think something can slip through occasionally.
That wagon IMO was/is too cool to bother. But then again, my opinion might be biased a tad cause i really like stuff from the 70s....

Im chasing some pics I used to have on my old pc but have since lost.

It was of an early falcon (beleive it was a ute. ranchero to you guys??) with econoline headlight surrounds/grille in it inplace of the standard grille.

Does anyone have any pictures of this car or any others and is it a common conversion. Im wanting to do it to mine but cant seem to find the pics anymore.

Also does anyone know where I could get these surrounds/grilles from or someone who has a set and would be willing to send to Aus

    Cheers

  24. Are these the pics you were looking for? These were posted on page 8 of this thread.

I see MAC has it in their catalog. Also falconparts.com too. I have used both of them at times and been pleased.
