  2. I don't! She was spectacular in River of No Return, Some Like it Hot and particularly in The Misfits, a GREAT acting performance, It's the EXPLOITATION of her that's been driven into the ground. Same for Betty Page. Same for ANY dead person that some scmuck can make a buck on!

"San Francisco's traffic became tangled up today when this 70-foot coast defense rifle was moved to Fort Funston as protection for the Golden Gate Bridge. This confusion resulted when one of the trucks towing the gun became tangled up in the tow cable. The monster weapon weighs 143 tons and requires 800 pounds of powder to fire a 2400-pound projectile approximately 25 miles.".

"Miss Ann Blanc, attractive San Francisco secretary, smiles her pleasure at being awarded a Plymouth sedan, top prize in a national contest. Paul Richelson, R. M. Hollingshead Corporation executive, explains that the slogan 'Whiz Motor Rhythm' was selected as best of thousands submitted. The 1940 Plymouth was delivered through James F. Waters.".

  25. Our dad is a huge Naval history/aviation/WWI/WWII you name it, he has all the books on them, so as kids we crawled through the Bomber back when you could (also the fighter that used to be up at the old OMSI in Portland, anyone else?). We used to hit every air show within 100 miles (it seemed) when we where little, and will still run outside to look up when something interesting goes by overhead.

Both my parents have donated their Navy uniforms and other bits and pieces to the Tillamook Air Museum, so it's fun to take the grandkids down to show them that we all had a life before they arrived in the world.

We have a family member who has a Steerman and a DC3, I want a ride in both someday....

"This new 'articulated' bus (it bends in the middle) was taking San Franciscans for free rides today to demonstrate its flexibility on hills and turns. The Muni is studying the possibility of substituting such buses for streetcars.".
