yeah i am not seeing the problem either. needs tires anyway so putting steelies on is cheap, needs an interior, the wipers are a little goofy but they are an easy fix [remove them] i kinda like the hood, and the fenders will hide the "hand made frame" mess. have you gotten it running? how does it drive?

If you ask on the HAMB what you should do, you all ready have a very good idea what the general answer will be. That alone KILLS the 'do what you want, it your car' crowd. Think about it.

 

Except for the hood sides and wire wheels I love the picture of it above! Great little car!

 

Only thing I'd do is fix the interior, ditch the wire wheels, and DRIVE IT!

Some excellent thoughts, thanks. The reason I asked for opinions is because sometimes I go in with a big hammer to fix a small problem, nice to other's opinions even if it is my car. I picked black because the frame is silver and thought it would blend. The car needs to be painted because the interior fire blistered the paint on the passenger fender, door etc. Forgot to add a photo of the best? part, a fake Halibrand attached to the 9 inch, never seen one before. Haven't tried to get it running, the previous owner did a lot of dismantling of the electricals etc to get it ready for another redo. I think I'll do a color change, wheels tires etc and see what I end up with. If I shoot for a mid 60's look I think that may fit the best for the car without starting from scratch. Probably leave the drivetrain alone for now if everything checks out, think I'll definitely lose the Halibrand though

 

Yep, chop that windshield/top and loose the tru-spooks......

 

I like the wheels but you need to junk the wipers and cowl lights and take about 2 inches off the windshield. And get rid of the ugly dashboard.

 

Do full fendered 28-29 Fords look better with 28-29 radiator shells? Bob
