I could be mistaken, but I'm 99% sure this has been around for a long time, following bands on tour. I'm sure I saw it in the 90's while following the Alman's and Phish. I saw it up North in Maine a few times at differnent shows as well. The story is that you can hitch a ride from show to show with them. If it's not this bus, than there is one out there just like it on tour. Haven't seen it in a while though but that's probably because great bands aren't touring as much as they did in the mid 90's and early 2000's.

Looks like the Swiss Army Knife of station wagons...

  5. I picked up this Travco a few weeks ago... I registered it as an antique vehicle. Now I gotta paint it!... :D

  6. ^^^^^Looks like a very nice example! Swap the Wedge for a Cummins and you'll be
    good to go!

  7. Funny you should mention that. I have a similar drivetrain and an older cummins. Won't the gear ratio cause a problem?

I saved these photos of a vintage motorhome from a magazine several years ago. I think it's quite the classy rig.

This was a sheep herder's lodge in the high desert of Oregon. This was an old photo I found on the internet. The cabin was gone when I found the truck. it is now being built as a pickup.

I saw this rig on the 2007 Power Tour. I was impressed how they fit the modern wheels under the fenders my narrowing the front axle.

Could it possibly be that you guys are so young that you don't remember this as the Rodder's Digest dream motorhome? It's only been twenty years since they referenced it in about ten of their issues with Gerry Burger and Garry Mcwhirter doing a full "feature"...

You likely did. It's one of three similarly painted buses owned by a small Christian group of hippies. Don't remember the name but there's lots of photos online and a Wiki article about the group's more controversial stances.

  22. Here is a weird one... I am not sure if Buick really had anything to do with this or not?

Saw this one in Amarillo RV park, it was pulling out as we were pulling in. I wish that I would have been able to meet with them. I like it a lot...

this last page has some KILLER rigs on it. the Jeep FC cab molded to the front of that airstream (clone?) is way cool. the 6x6 rig with the Ford/Mack cab (looks like it was probably once a fire dept rig) is also cool as hell.
