Seriously, I am. I'm not dead. I'm Jocko McNeal from the greater Motown area. I started hearing in July that some folks thought I'd p***ed away. Even when I asked, "you sure they don't mean my Dad?", I was told no. It was thought I had died. I blew it off as confusion but recently was talking to someone a couple weeks ago who was simply glad to know I was still around. Asking about the confusion of Dad vs I, "No man, you. Jocko, the Packard guy, the woodgrainer. Worked in that restoration shop, in his 50s..." As we conversed it seems my ex employer tells folks I died. He might wish it, and I won't be so smug as to think others wouldn't, but that fact is it's most certainly me sitting here letting some of you know I'm still on the bright side of the sod. For how I feel sometimes I think I might actually be dead and just too stupid to lay down!!! I edited my sig quoting Samuel Clemens regarding my death, and also having been less visible here lately it might seem like the news is correct. So now you know. If you actually know different, I DO NOT want to know about it If this is too OT, I get it, but I've come to know several really good people from here who may or may not have heard. Jocko 'theHIGHLANDER' McNeal
You must be dead. I used to have a flea market space right across from the Packard club's Studebaker truck/camper at Hershey. I walked over to meet you and no one knew who Highlander was. Good to hear you're OK.
No, I'm pretty sure I heard you died. We're really gonna miss your keen wit, and willingness to share your painting wisdom with the living. You will be missed..RIP
Good to know. Some of the smoke you blow is very informative, and i'de hate to be reading some "6ft under jargon".... To HELL with the ney-sayers!
I'll believe it when I see you in person. My place, Saturday March 9th, 8pm Apple Pie is expected and appreciated xoxox
You're lucky no-one tried to "bring you back" and throw a dropped I-beam, Hemi and Quick change at ya. Scotty
If the IRS thinks that you're dead, there may be a financial upside ..... think of the possibilities !!
Well if they found a replacement for Paul McCartney, they may have replaced you. How do we know "you" are really "you"?
How do all you people know that you aren't all dead now and have met up with the Highlander? Just sayin!!
well I'm dead serious when I say this.... we're glad your alive!! ...btw when you p***ed on...who did you leave your ol' car stuff to?
Ok, If you are in fact still alive tell us about this Packard that was posted on a Pierce Arrow thread. Bob
That's a home-built hot rod from the 30s. I can't recall which grille he used, but other than the m***ive WB and sheer size of the Packard components used, it's pretty *****in. There's more history on it at the AACA forum in the Packard pages. Hershey, yeah I was there and had told the folks in the old Green Field space where I was in the Chocolate Field. Yes, even at Hershey some folks said they were glad to see me. Well at least a few of em did...
Youre lucky I was completely off here for two years and no one noticed....Have a good [rest of] your life man!
