The really sad part is that all of these geniuses who have jumped on the 'tattoo bandwagon' that's been rollin for a few years now, have the rest of their lives to put up with their stupid decision.
    Just my opinion, of course.

Could this have been one of the first ones that were held in Gladstone Oregon on the Cackamas river?

  18. That ain't his only problem! That's a '40/'41 Chevy that was crushed between those trucks, Zoot-Zooters died out back in the '20s!

Could it be Thelma "Tad " Tadlock who featured in the '50s GM / Frigidaire " Design for Dreaming?
Note the door shut on the MGA!! - They really were just thrown together after being hurriedly designed to keep up with the TR range.

Looks to me like the MGA door just is not shut all of the way. I had a bunch and none had bad fitting doors.

  24. You don't know your zoot history. Zoot suits were a 40's thing!

Right you are Gary. I think late 30s & into the 40s. Kay Kyser and his "College of Musical Knowledge" (well his orchestra, actually!) had a song about 'em in the early 40s. Cab Calloway wore them quite a lot too, as seen in this YOUTUBE ditty:
