My sister has pictures of our grandparents, dated early 1920's, with the notation of my grandmother being a flapper and my grandfather being a zoot - zooter. Since I don't have access to them right now, I will concede the fact that they pre-date the 1940's. Besides, it really isn't worth all this effort. They are neither traditional hot rods or kustoms.

Miss Nevada Cheryle Thompson, met her when I was about 14 or 15 She married Entertainer Norman Kaye who was a friend of the family. Sadly she passed away at 59 in 2003
