    I don't mean to hijack this thread and turn it into the Pork Zartman thread but i wanted to post one more picture of Pork and the Filthy. This one is my favorite.[IMG]

    psycchotic reaction;

    Our cars are brothers, mine was from Frisco, done in the 70's. I put a '41 front on it not long ago, plan to paint it blue! Love your (our) car.

    I just met one of the coolest Willys guys around!

    His name is Lumpy and he owns an all steel '38 with a 40 deluxe nose. Runs a dual quad 1965 409cu in backed by a 700R4 trans. AND Street driven.

    If more people were like him, life would be pretty damn cool!

    If there are any willys guys OR gasser guys in Illinois I strongly advise hangin with Lumpy!

    Welcome in my home anytime!

    Hey Lumpy lets get some of your anglia pics!!!

    Not a willys but still a cool Lumpy car.

    It is running a 327 dual quad small block with turbo 400 trans and 55 chevy narrowed rear end. It too, is street driven.

  17. Narrowed rear axle, MEL V8 coupled to GM Hydro, really advanced.

    Love the look, too. Most Willys look sorta cute, but this one was pure badass. The stance-- tail straight out and belly to the ground, as they say.

    It was the most unique '41 Willys for sure. My grandfather and great uncle had help from several respected and talented people back then, but the Grist Bros were innovative and talented themselves. I'm very blessed to have such a great story in my family.

    Hello All,

    It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this thread. I'm the original photographer of this picture. Taken at HMB. while I was still a Soph. in High School. When I saw this picture here again it peaked my interest and dug out the old HRM's. I found a great article on this car in the Oct. 1964, pg. 60. The team of Rusca and Morris raced this car at various Bay Area Strips but only for a short period of time. It was a strikingly beautiful car. Upon further investigation, I'm almost positive the car was painted by the custom shop of Gene Winfield fame in Modesto California. A few years back a another at car function someone said that this car has been seen at a reunion/exhibition. Can't verify this though.

    Take care, TOM
