plymouth roof paint

i have a 51 ply and was wondering if anybody has any pics with the roof painted a different color than the body. mine is the stock baby blue now. i need to weld up some holes where the p.o. had a visor on it and im tossin around the idea of shootin the roof a different color. i need to do the interior paint too so im thinking the roof and int the same color. the color i have in mind is hot rod flatz daytona blue pearl. we just shot some on my brothers o.t. truck and i really like the color. if not that color, maybe thinking a white pearl, kinda like the lexas or new fords.
i just dont want to make the lid look any taller than it already does, and i have no intentions on giving it a haircut. its to clean of a car to go butchering it up.


what does everybody think?

I'm in the process of painting my 51 Plymouth club couple. The top from the chrome belt line up, will be dark burgungy. The lower part will be 2011 Dodge truck "cool vanilla white." Going to try and match the colors for the interior.

 

They had a cool 2 tone on the Plymouth hardtops that year that included the rear deck along with the roof. I don't know if you could get a Plymouth sedan 2 tone (don't recall ever seeing one) but you could get a 2 tone DeSoto and Chrysler.

You might look up some of their combinations for ideas.

 

I think im gunna do it. I need to weld up some holes and I have most of the rubber and window felts to put on. So the worst case is I dont like it.

I think it will look good.
