Scene of many great shows, the place was, well, a huge barn like deal.

 

This 1941 Bantam goes into safe keeping @ Harrah's Reno Auto Museum back in 1963.

 

I wish Harrah's was still around . That was heartbreaking splitting up that great collection .............. scrubba

 

Yup, my aunt has one and uses it for big tablecloths when she has large parties - like a giant roller steampress.

Pin-up photos adorn the walls of a bomber-crew shack on Adak Island, Aleutian Campaign, Alaska, 1943.

 

That last part caught my eye:
"Mrs. Ruth Smothers works in processing and heat treating. Her husband, a major, was reported missing on Bataan."
Major Thomas Smothers, Jr. never made it home; he died while being transferred to a POW camp in Manchuria, leaving Ruth to raise her two sons, Thomas and Richard.
You may know them better as Tom and Dick - The Smothers Brothers.
