When you buy a wiring harness all the hard stuff, figuring out the ampy thingys is done. Also you will save alot of time and agrivation finding and buying all the parts and piecesto the puzzel.

I totally agree, and my plan of setting it all up on a 4x8 plywood test table and running it will proove it works with out risk to the car, garage and house. "Ugly" stuff can be swapped out also before doing an install and remove in the car. Bob

I drew up mine on the computer, then started pricing all the different colors and gauge wire spools I'd need compared to buying an EZ wire kit.

I bought the kit and am in the middle of installing it. Very straight forward. I'd do it again.

  6. I used an Enos black box in my coupe and an Affordable Street Rods panel in my truck. Used an EZ wire kit in Dad's '34. Not a fan of prewired fuse blocks. I much prefer running each circuit separately and terminating to the board myself.

The Enos instructions were great. Affordable's instructions were OK. Since I was using the stock on/off switch, and a momentary start button, I had to make some modifications to the diagrams.

Could someone post side by side photos of the ENOS box and whatever the one is that comes with the Rebel kit? Being clueless the ENOS box looks like a nice component. Bob

Who remembers back when all you had was the "How To Wire Your Hot Rod" articles from the mags? No wiring kits. Go to the junkyard and cut out a fuse block and spend days figuring it all out. Glad those days are gone. I've only used a AAW kit and it was very complete and easy to install.

I use 10 gauge for main power circuits/grounds etc. Red for power Black for grounds. 14 gauge for all else. I have about 8 different color 14 gauge wires. The trick is to not repeat a color in a group, like engine wires, lights etc.

I'll be using Ron Francis MG-91A for my '49 F1 with the '98 4valve 4.6 cobra motor but i'd sure like to see it in the "how cheap they are these days"model because that bad boy is $852.00 before shipping! Also my wife just watched me drop another $400.00 on new chassis metal the other day so i'm not quite sure how to break it to her that i'm gearing up for another 9 big ones.all in all she's been great about the whole thing i'm in about 6g's and all i had to do for her was buy her a new cannon camera so here goes nuttin.
