Thanks. Don't tell anyone but it's actually a Lincoln like yours too, but with a Merc dog house. 5" off the A pillars and about 5.5" out back. Fiddling around with other things right now because the chop is killin me.

    Finally!

    Been sitting since 1962.
Complete right down to the skirts. It is missing some small stuff, most everything else it there, that was removed for one reason or another over the years.

    Awaiting shipping right now.

I'll keep ya posted as I go. For now it's like waiting for Christmas.

Growing up dad had a 51 4dr. He always told me "it'll be your car when you're 16" - well - he sold it to help finance the purchase of a 32 Roadster. I still remember that 51 Merc though. It had 30k original miles. We'd take it to church once in a while....

    I digress...

As of last week I am officially an owner of a Mercury, albeit 21 years late. Saved a 63 Mercury Monterey from the PO. It had been a one owner car until February 2012, and then VERY badly abused after that. Hopefully she'll be back on the road with a transmission rebuild and some other minor repairs.

    Count me in!

Wow that list is pure dedication. I'm in with a 49 and 50 more door I'll sling up some pics shortly. Previously owned a 60 monty and still kicking myself for letting it go in favour of the 49. :/
