Just tinkered in the garage last in between hauling kids to swimming and household chores. Got the drive shaft shortened 1", welded back together and installed. Also did some more final welding on the front leaf spring mounts and started working on a punch list on what I have left to do. Spring is coming.....gotta get this baby done. My Cragars showed up, as well as my bullet lug nuts. Hopefully my tires show up today!!
...I'd suggest you set the bed on for weight and then mount your rear shackle mounts to get a true idea of the stance, I like the way you scored and bent the plates for the notch, good idea, never thot of that, your way gets the bend in the correct spot for sure. keep buildin, lookin good. btw, that bottom leaf is a helper/overload spring, when it comes into play it won't go down much further.
I am kind of limited on how high I can place the rear spring mount. I am guessing even placed as high as possible I will still need some lowering blocks to get the ride height where I want it. I am also adding a sway bar which should stiffen it up a bit, as well as some good shocks.

...I would think it'd be mounted lower than you now have it temporarily mounted once you put the bed on there...your outdoor pic looks pretty low or about level now.
In that picture it is sitting with about the perfect amount of rake, in my opinion anyway. About 2-1/2" from front of running board to back of running board. This amount of rake makes the bottom of the windows parallel with the ground which looks great. Only problem is my tires I order are 1-1/2" taller than the tires that are on it now. With those mounted it will be too much rake I am afraid, but before I make any decisions the bed will get set on the frame and see how it settles.
I could not find anybody to mount them in this one horse town today. Appointment made for Monday!! :-(
Desperate times call for desperate measures. New tires and rims sitting here......and know body can mount and balance them until Monday. Ha.......I have done close to a thousand moto tires.....how hard can it be?? Easy....about 5 min per tire. Nice clearance at full lock.

Nice build i have a 1950 3600 which i'm doing a ground up on at the moment, keeping it stock, it was shipped from Washington, last year, should get cab back from paint shop this week and mounted on frame, having a bit trouble sourcing 8 lug wheels but other than that everything is going well, keep up the good work
After some carb cleaner and some fire (on the backside of the tire) the rears seated easily. Bolted them on and am ready to rock and roll. First impression......wow they look awesome. Second impression....damn they look tall. 28" with 40 PSI in them......about 1" taller than advertised. Love the look though. Still waiting on my Shannon cones. Measurements show I will need some wheel spacers to clear the box sides. Probably 2" to fill up the wheel well as much as possible.
