    I think they are cool. The thread is "Vintage shots from days gone by", Which I believe these "Vintage shots" apply. JMHO.

    Been addicted to this thread for too long! Guess I should post some pics. In no particular order is my long lost Bro with the Chebby drop top, my old man in a couple pics, and my first Rod (40) in 1969 that I would give BOTH of 'em to have again!

    Actually such "Lifts " were in reality somewhat common in a lot of service stations where the water table wasn't that far down in the ground and then too, these were used as an economical alternative . One such collection of places were the EIGHT Shell shaped Shell stations erected by Quality Oil company in Winston Salem North Carolina .
